"Sec. 6. Title 41, chapter 1, article 5, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 41-200, to read:
41-200. Illegal immigration; recovery of state costs; annual report
A. Beginning on July 1, 2024, the attorney general, on behalf of this state, shall pursue all available remedies to recover any monies owed from the federal government to this state for reimbursement of costs incurred by this state in addressing illegal immigration.
b. On or before November 1, 2024 and each year thereafter, the attorney general shall submit a written report to the governor, the president of the senate and the speaker of the house of representatives and shall provide a copy of this report to the secretary of state. the report shall detail the progress and status of the attorney general’s pursuit of remedies."

Section 41-200, Arizona Revised Statutes, as added by this act, applies retroactively to from and after June 30,2024."
